📜 SERVER RULES & ETIQUETTE

Please read carefully. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.

🏗️ 1. GRIEFING & CONSTRUCTION

• No Base Destruction: Do not destroy, grief, or break any player-made structures.
• Definition of Griefing: This includes setting fires, pouring lava/water (or any other harmful liquids/blocks/entities), TNT, or placing "obstructing" blocks (obsidian/bedrock) to trap players.
• The Natural Damage Rule: Do not intentionally lure Creepers, Withers, or monsters indoors to attack players once they log on. Any influence on the decision-making of these mobs counts as your responsibility; this includes spawning loads of boats or animals to kill players via entity cramming.
• Performance: No lag-machines or oversized auto-farms that tank the server TPS.
• Pet Protection: Pets are not allowed to be killed, including dragons, the only time you're allowed to kill a pet is if a player has actively commanded it to attack you, or is actively using it to kill you. If a pet is set in sitting mode (out-of-use) and you attack it, this is considered a rulebreak.

💰 2. THE WEEKEND STEALING RULE

Stealing is ONLY allowed on Saturdays and Sundays (Server Time). To keep it fair and prevent total loss, we follow the "One-Slot Loophole" policy:

• Chests/Barrels: You may take 1 slot of a single item type per container. (However: If there are two separate slots of 32 Diamonds that can fit in 1 slot when combined, you can take both).
• The Bundle Rule: You cannot steal a full Bundle. You may only take 1 real slot's worth of items from inside the bundle.
• Armor Stands: You may only steal 1 piece of gear from an armor stand (e.g., just the boots).
• Item Frames/Lecterns: You may take the item or the book, but you must leave the Frame/Lectern behind.
• Workstations: You may take 1 slot from Furnaces, Smokers, or Brewing Stands (either the fuel, the ingredient, or the finished product).
• Beacons: You may steal the payment item inside the Beacon menu, but you cannot break the Beacon block itself.
• Heads: You can steal 1 head per house, whether it's a dragon head, monster head, or player head.
• The Gravestone Exception: Gravestones are strictly off-limits. Never break or rob a player's grave.

⚔️ 3. FIGHTING & PVP

• Reduced Toxicity: Don't be a "sore winner" or a "sore loser." Keep the trash talking out, be respectful and accept your defeat/victory quietly.
• Repeated Killing: If a player is clearly avoiding a fight or is naked/unarmed, do not repeatedly kill them.
• Bounties: You are allowed to set public bounties (e.g., "5 Diamonds for Player X's death").
• Combat Fairness: We recommend not combat-logging, or camping logged players (no punishment for either yet). However if one combat-logs, the others are in their full right to camp their logged spot, so don't even complain.
• Self-Defense: If a player hits you first, or if they enter a wide range inside your territory, or start building inside your territory, you are allowed to kill them any way you desire. This counters the "Repeat Killing" rule.
• Trapping: Traps are allowed whether you bring a player in or set it up prematurely, however, do NOT build traps where there are non-natural blocks. (example: roads, bridges, farms, pathways, and any other obvious territory areas). The only time a trap is allowed inside a base is if it moves ITSELF above the base (please remember that griefing is still not allowed, even if your traps cause it)

🤝 4. TRADING & SCAMMING

• Fair Trade: If you agree to a deal, you must follow through. Taking payment and then blocking/killing the player is a scam and is prohibited.
• Trap Trading: Luring someone to a "shop" or any trade just to drop them into a pit or kill them is not allowed.
• Finders Keepers: If a player accidentally drops an item or leaves it in your personal chests/furnaces, you are legally allowed to keep it.
• Server Powered Agreements: Deals made in books will be assisted by the server (e.g., "If you get within 1k blocks of my house, you lose your armor").

🚫 5. MODS & CHEATING

• Banned: X-Ray (packs or mods), Kill-Aura, Fly-hacks, Minimaps with Player/Entity radar, and Auto-fishing.
• Allowed: Performance mods (Sodium/Iris), Shaders (Oculus/Distant Horizons), and Waypoints.
• Anti-Cheat: We use server-side X-Ray and cheat detection. If the system bans you, the decision is final.

💬 6. COMMUNICATION

• Respect: No slurs, racism, sexism, or targeted harassment. No real-world politics, no explicit content.
• Strike System: * Strike 1, 2: Official Warning.
  • Strike 3: Permanent Ban from Discord and Minecraft.
• These rules apply to both Text and Voice Chat inside both Minecraft and Discord.
• Structures count toward text chat within Minecraft including signs and books.

☢️ 7. EXPLOITING

• Do Your Own Research: Anything marked as an exploit is not allowed, if you're going to use a complex strategy, look-up if it is considered an exploit, if so, it's considered an exploit here as well. (p.s. if you come to me with like a single reddit post saying it's not an exploit, and if I find out with my own research that it's considered an exploit generally, this is still a rulebreak)
• Loopholes: Any attempt at trying to loophole every detail of rules is also considered a rulebreak, if you have questions; word before action, ask Deepie if it's allowed.
