FasterLadderClimbing

A simple utility mod that makes ladder movement much faster and more controllable. By simply changing where you look, you can drastically speed up your climb or drop down instantly without tedious waiting.

What it does:

• Look up and press forward to climb upwards faster than vanilla speed.
• Look down to descend rapidly without needing to hold any movement keys.
• Look straight ahead to keep your movement speed close to vanilla, giving you precise control.
• Works automatically with ladders, vines, and any other climbable blocks handled by vanilla movement logic.

Configuration: You can customize exactly how fast you want to move. The config file is located at config/fasterladderclimbing-common.toml (Forge/NeoForge) or config/fasterladderclimbing.properties (Fabric).

Available settings:

• climbUpSpeed — Vertical speed applied when looking up (Default: 0.3, Range: 0.05 to 1.25).
• climbDownSpeed — Vertical speed applied when looking down (Default: -0.25, Range: -1.25 to -0.05). Keep this value negative to ensure descent is accelerated.

Install on the server for authoritative behavior. Client installation is optional, meaning vanilla players can join and benefit from it seamlessly.
