Features
Magic Systems:
- Soul Magic, represented by the Soul Sand Valley and the color cyan. It uses contracts as the main method of manipulation, and is focused on Devices & Land Claiming.
- Dominic Magic, represented by a desaturated golden color. It uses Dominic items as the main method of manipulation, and is focused on Weaponry & Permanent Kills.
The Magic Orbs:
- To craft most items, you'll need Soul Orbs or Dominic Orbs, depending on the magic type.
- Soul Orbs are obtained by killing a player on Soul Sand — this includes yourself.
- Dominic Orbs cannot be obtained in survival mode. There is a config option that makes them obtainable from Withers.

Signable Items:
- The Contract is the most important item in the mod. It is used with most of the devices the mod adds. Gets consumed on use.
- The Dominic Contract is an advanced version of the normal Contract. It doesn't get consumed on Soul Devices. Right-clicking with a signed Dominic Contract opens a menu that lets you do special things to the Signer.
- The Wanderer's Tablet is a special kind of signable item obtained by trading with Wandering Traders. It can be duplicated in a Crafting Table and is used with the Waystone as a more restrictive TPA-like system.

Soul Magic Devices:
The Waystone is a teleportation device that requires a Contract or a Wandering Tablet, along with XP, to function.
- Right-click with a Contract: costs you XP, consumes the Contract, and teleports the signer on top of the Waystone.
- Right-click with a Wandering Tablet: costs the bound player XP. The bound player must be sneaking when activated. The Tablet is not consumed.

The Idol protects the player who placed it from direct attacks by anyone bound to them through contracts, within a 96×96 block area centered on the Idol's position.

The Vessel creates a persistent link between a Contract and its signer. Place a soul fire source 2 blocks below it and insert a signed Contract to apply the Soul Debt effect to the signer. Soul Debt doubles all damage taken and makes it bypass armor entirely.

The Swapper swaps the 2 blocks on either end of it on redstone input, emitting light when activated. If both blocks are Vessels holding Contracts, the two corresponding players will swap positions.

The Vassal is a War Machine designed with one goal: to protect its owner. It has 3 states:
- Deactivated: Its default dormant state. Heals over time while dormant.
- Activated: The Vassal will attack anything that harms its owner, or anything its owner attacks.
- ##### Mode: Protects its owner at all costs, it will slay anything that moves.
The Vassal is immune to fire, fall damage, and drowning. Its only weakness is its bulky frame, which lets attackers stand on top of it safely. When destroyed, it drops Netherite Ingots.

The Obelisk is the Supreme Device of Soul Magic. Claims a square area (24 block radius by default, configurable). Inside the claimed area:
- Intruders cannot break or place blocks, violations are reversed after 5 seconds.
- Explosions deal no block damage.
- The Obelisk itself can be broken by anyone, dropping an Eye of the Apex.
- Faction members of the owner are exempt from all restrictions.
- Sneak right-click to toggle a No-Enchants zone that affects only intruders.

Dominic Weapons:
Their main function is permanently removing players from the game through different methods. They put players into Spectator mode rather than banning them outright.
- The Eternal Divinity has 3 uses. The first two uses temporarily set a killed player to Spectator. On the third use, the effect is permanent.
- The Broken Eternal Divinity has unlimited uses. Exiles players 7,777,777 blocks away from spawn (configurable).
- The Soultrap Spetum is a weaker Dominic weapon that does not allow for permanent kills.
- The Gilded Onyx has unlimited uses. Killing a player chains them. Right-clicking the chains permanently sets them to Spectator.

The Nether Roof
The Nether Roof is no longer a vast empty expanse, it's an abandoned complex with a strong "you shouldn't be here" atmosphere. It's dark, cold, and filled with danger.
- Rooflings spawn on the roof and exist solely to kick players out. When a Roofling hits you, you'll phase through the ground to a safe surface.
- Suspicious Soul Sand can be found in roof structures. Brush through it to find Netherite, Necklaces, and other loot.
- The Necklaces are trinket items found on the roof that let you experience the world as a mob type, each with trade-offs:
- Undead Necklace: Immune to hunger, but burns in sunlight (or slowed if wearing a helmet).
- Arachnid Necklace: Climb walls and gain Night Vision, but weakened in sunlight.
- Ethereal Necklace: See through darkness, but extremely vulnerable to Rooflings.
Misc
- Dominic Bricks Right-click Stone Bricks or Chiseled Stone Bricks with a Dominic Orb to convert them. All variants include slabs, stairs, and walls.
- Soul Sandstone Craft building blocks from Soul Sand. Includes slabs, stairs, and walls.
- Soul Candle Prevents mob spawning in a 64-block radius. (Configurable)
- Soul Glass A glass variant that can be toggled on and off, triggering a chain reaction in neighboring Soul Glass blocks.
- Ghosts Use
/dominium:ghost <add|clear|list|remove>to make a player a ghost. Ghosts are nearly invisible and can only be glimpsed in the corner of the screen. Holding a Dominic Effigy toggles full visibility. - Item Marker Use
/dominium:marker <clear|get|set>to set marker text, then apply it as lore to Dominic weapons and items. - Spectator+ Spectator players can interact with doors, buttons, trapdoors, bells, and more. Players with the Ghosted effect (from a non-permanent spectator sentence) cannot phase through blocks.
- Factions Form alliances using
/faction. Faction members share Obelisk claim access and can be protected together.
Credits
- This mod was heavily inspired by Charter, older versions of Charter, and the Mason Decor mod.
