A Desolate Wasteland
While not fully dead, little life still survives in the Wastes. Villages are abandoned, and water is scarce.

A Harsh Landscape
Deserts are dotted with imposing spikes of Granite. You may yet find Petrified Wood to begin crafting basic tools, but be sure to ration this resource well.

Valleys of Death
The Cacti Forests that cover much of the surface may be unnerving during the day, but as night falls, new horrors may emerge to keep you out.

Familiar Vistas
While many locations in the Wastes may be new and unique, there are still some vanilla-like biomes left in this world. The Eroded Badlands remain largely unchanged, though the surrounding Desert has begun to creep in.

Challenging Terrain
The high cliffs of the Windswept Savannas tower over much of the Wastes, serving as a grim reprieve from the warm sands of the world.

Dry Basins
The intense heat of the Wastes has totally evaporated the waters of the Warm Oceans, leaving behind dead corals, exposed Ocean Ruins, and imposing spikes of Prismarine.

Below the Sands
Although the surface is devoid of water, you can still find puddles formed from long-lost waves that escaped underground during the calamity.

The Infection Grows
With so much death on the surface, greedy fungi have flourished underground, creating caverns that, while illuminated, are far from safe.
